What is a portal?
A portal is a website that brings all relevant websites and information into one location. MyMassasoit is a portal which uses Single Sign-on technology to provide seamless self-service access to systems such as Banner, Canvas, Rave, and E-mail.

When is MyMassasoit available?
MyMassasoit is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer with an internet connection.

Why am I getting a "mixed content" warning on MyMassasoit?
Massasoit uses SSL encryption on MyMassasoit for your security. This protects your data when handling sensitive information within the site. When content on MyMassasoit is linked from external sites (such as with some newsletters), it is "mixed" with our secure content. Internet Explorer provides a warning for this, while other browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome do not. Depending on how you respond to the IE pop-up will decide whether the browser displays the information from external sites or not.
How do I get rid of the "mixed content" warning?
Open Internet Explorer
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Security tab
Select the "Internet" zone, then click the "Custom level..." button below
In the Security Settings window that opens, scroll down a little past halfway and change the setting for "Display mixed content" to "Enable"
Click "OK", then "OK"
What security issues do I need to be concerned with when using MyMassasoit?
Using the portal requires you to log-in to gain access. It is equally important to log-off from MyMassasoit when you end your session on the computer. There is an automatic log-off triggered to end the single sign on session
Privacy Concerns with Shared Computers
For users who access the portal on computers that are shared with others, logging out and clearing browser information is critical to fully ensure privacy.
(depressing the Alt and F keys together brings up the tool bar where you can execute the following on most browsers)
To clear data in Internet Explorer:
Tools -> Delete Browsing History
To clear data in Edge:
Settings -> Clear Browsing Data
To clear data in Firefox:
History -> Clear Recent History
To clear data in Chrome:
History -> Clear Browsing Data
To clear data in Safari:
Menu -> Preferences -> General -> Remove History Items -> select best option from drop down
